A gentle alternative to caffeine
We are committed to offering hojicha as a natural and gentler alternative to high-caffeine beverages, suitable for daily consumption.
Low in caffeine due to its roasting process, hojicha provides a more balanced energy, without jitters or overstimulation, to accompany every moment of the day just right.
Authenticité japonaise
Our hojicha teas are sourced from farms certified JAS (Japanese Agricultural Standards), an official Japanese label guaranteeing compliance with strict standards for cultivation, traceability, and quality. This certification ensures the authentic origin of our teas and adherence to traditional Japanese methods.
However, the recognition and conversion of this certification to European standards involve a more complex administrative process, especially for small artisanal farms.
This does not alter the quality or purity of our harvests. We favor an approach based on actual control and transparency rather than the proliferation of labels. This commitment reflects our high standards and expertise.
WASTE REDUCTION
We are committed to limiting our environmental impact by selecting producers who respect nature and by favoring sustainable agricultural practices. Particular attention is also paid to our packaging, designed to be eco-responsible, durable, and reusable.
Our hojicha boxes are designed to preserve the freshness of the tea while reducing waste. Strong and aesthetically pleasing, they are meant to be kept and reused daily.
From production to shipping, every step is designed to combine the pleasure of tea with respect for the environment.
Careful and Controlled Harvesting
Our Hojichas take root on sunny mountain slopes, in the heart of Kagoshima Prefecture, a region renowned for the excellence of its teas. The natural exposure and topography of the fields create an ideal environment for tea cultivation.
A constant breeze crosses the plantations, preventing cold air from stagnating and thus protecting the tea plants from frost. These favorable climatic conditions make the leaves more resistant and allow for harmonious growth, essential for obtaining a high-quality tea.
Tea cultivation is based on mastered Japanese know-how, particularly through the traditional steamed tea method. This technique preserves the freshness of the leaves, expresses a characteristic sweetness, and produces a magnificent green color, a signature of exceptional Japanese teas.
Cultivated with passion and high standards, our tea reflects a deep respect for nature and the work of the producers, in keeping with Japanese traditions.
